Mountain Scenes was written in my music studio overlooking the Rocky Mountains at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Banff, Canada. I tried my best to emulate the sounds I was hearing and the spirit I was feeling around me on my instrument. This piece uses extended techniques like harmonics, bow crunches, and left hand pizz.
